Fire in Saraktash district injures pensioner, damages property

Another serious fire has occurred in the Orenburg region. According to the regional Department of Fire Safety and Civil Protection, it happened yesterday at 10:54 in the village of Kondurvka in the Zheltinsky rural council.

According to available information, the dispatcher of the local fire and rescue garrison sent to the scene forces and equipment from three types of fire protection: the volunteer fire brigade (VFB) of the village of Zheltoye, Fire Station No. 65 and Operational Fire Post No. 95 of the Orenburg region fire service, as well as Fire and Rescue Station No. 26 of the regional EMERCOM (Ministry of Emergency Situations).
At 11:35 the fire was localized, and at 14:50 it was completely extinguished. The fire damaged a sauna (12 square meters, or 130 square feet), the walls and ceiling of a residential house (44 square meters, or 470 square feet), and the structures of three sheds (40 square meters, or 430 square feet). There was one casualty: a 75-year-old pensioner (born in 1949) suffered burns.
An investigation is underway: the preliminary cause of the fire is thought to be a violation of fire safety rules during stove operation.
