In Yekaterinburg, late on 4 February, a fire broke out in a high-rise building in the Pionersky microdistrict. An apartment on the first floor caught fire at 39/2 Iyulskaya Street.
«Five people evacuated from the upper floors on their own. Another 15 people were led out of the smoke-filled entrance using rescue devices,» reported TA Nochnye Novosti (Night News).
Three people were in the apartment when the fire started and evacuated on their own. The residents« dog, which remained inside, died in the fire.
The fire area was 25 square meters. Six units of special equipment and 25 personnel worked at the scene.
