On Sunday, January 25, a fire broke out in the Metallurgichesky district of Chelyabinsk, injuring one resident of a multi-story building, according to eyewitnesses and the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MChS).

After firefighters arrived at the scene, they were able to quickly extinguish the fire in the residential building.

The fire started in an apartment on the fourth floor of building No. 30 on Bogdana Khmelnitskogo Street. Twenty-five people evacuated the building on their own, including the owner of the burning apartment. Firefighters evacuated five others. On the seventh floor, a man was found unconscious after inhaling carbon monoxide; he was handed over to medical personnel.
According to preliminary data from the Emergency Ministry, the cause of the fire was careless handling of fire.
