Fire breaks out at IGMU dental center: video

A fire broke out at the Irkutsk State Medical University (IGMU) dental clinic on Lapina Street in central Irkutsk. This was reported on the website of the Irkutsk Region EMERCOM.

The emergency call about the fire was received at 10:35. Due to the activation of the fire alarm, 27 firefighters and 7 pieces of equipment arrived at the scene. When the first units arrived, smoke was coming from a third-floor office, and people began to be evacuated.

The fire was extinguished at 11:55, covering an area of 7 square meters. During the operation, firefighters had to open up part of the interfloor ceilings.

According to preliminary data, 74 people were evacuated from the building. City rescuers are currently working at the scene — they are checking the ceilings with a thermal imager.
