On Tuesday, February 3, a fire broke out in a store at the Shchelkovsky shopping and entertainment center in Moscow. According to the Ostorozhno, Moskva Telegram channel, eyewitnesses reported smoke.
Emergency personnel quickly responded to the smoke and fire at the Shchelkovsky mall.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM) said a rescue team is currently on site. All visitors have been evacuated. The premises are being checked, and more details will be available later.
Shoppers evacuated the mall as fire crews worked to contain the incident.

EMERCOM added that rescuers managed to extinguish the fire. The cause was a ventilation malfunction, which sparked the blaze.
No one was injured in the fire.
The shopping center«s press office told MSK1.RU that the fire was quickly put out:
«Today, a smoke incident occurred at the Shchelkovsky shopping center. The administration proactively carried out an evacuation. The situation has now been resolved. All systems operated normally.»
Earlier, MSK1.RU reported that a man committed suicide at a shopping center in New Moscow. Before the incident, the man was shouting. The exact reasons are not yet being disclosed.
