Fatal GAZelle Crash on Tyumen–Khanty-Mansiysk Highway

A serious traffic accident occurred during the night of February 3 on the highway connecting Tyumen and Khanty-Mansiysk. The collision happened at the 177th kilometer within the Yarkovsky district.

According to the press service of the regional State Traffic Inspectorate (GAI), a GAZ-brand vehicle crashed into a Mercedes-Benz truck with a semi-trailer parked on the side of the road. «The heavy truck was forced to stop due to a technical malfunction. As a result, the 54-year-old driver of the GAZelle, a resident of Chelyabinsk region, died from his injuries,» the department reported.
