Families of FSIN Applicants Killed in Crash to Receive Aid

The families of five people killed in a horrific accident near Krasnoyarsk involving individuals from the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia (FSIN) will receive necessary assistance. This was reported to an NGS24.RU correspondent by the press service of the regional department.

As clarified to journalists by the Main Directorate of the Federal Penitentiary Service (GUFSIN), they are ready to support the relatives of the deceased children and the department«s employee both psychologically and materially. The department did not specify the amount of the financial assistance. The NGS24.RU correspondent was only referred to the department»s official comment. Here is how it sounds:

«In connection with the tragic event, the FSIN of Russia and the GUFSIN of Russia for Krasnoyarsk Krai express deep condolences to the relatives and loved ones of the victims and the deceased. The department and the territorial body of the FSIN of Russia will provide all necessary assistance to the families of the victims,» writes the department on social media.

Earlier, NGS24.RU reported that on the night of February 2, at the 965th kilometer of the federal highway R-255 «Siberia» in the Rybinsky District, an accident occurred, in which five people died. An Iveco truck, towing a modular house from Kansk towards Krasnoyarsk, lost its trailer — it detached, drove into the oncoming lane, and crashed into a passenger Gazelle.

At the wheel of the minibus was a 52-year-old driver, and in the cabin there were 13 people: candidates for admission to the departmental university of FSIN and escorts. The group was returning to Kansk after preparation for admission in Krasnoyarsk.

As a result of the impact, three underage applicants, an 18-year-old student, and a 31-year-old employee of the GUFSIN of Russia for Krasnoyarsk Krai, who was accompanying the group, died.

In addition, six more people were injured in the accident — they were taken to hospitals in Borodino and Kansk. In the morning of February 3, as clarified by NGS24.RU in the Ministry of Health, three injured teenagers were transported to Krasnoyarsk by air ambulance. The teenagers are in the 20th Hospital named after Berzon. Two of them, according to preliminary information, are in moderate condition, one is in serious condition.
