Dump Truck Topples Pipes Onto Bus Near Nizhny Novgorod Airport

On the afternoon of February 2, a truck knocked down pipes near the airport in Nizhny Novgorod. According to a reader of NN.RU, traffic is backing up due to the incident.

The incident occurred on Bezvodnaya Street. The dump truck driver did not lower the body, causing the truck to be too high and hit the pipes. The structure fell onto a shuttle bus.

According to online maps, traffic difficulties begin already at the turn from Orekhovskaya Street to Bezvodnaya Street. The situation is worst at the «Aviators Museum» stop — the road is congested in both directions there.

The press service of Chkalov Airport also informed us that the truck was removing snow from the airport«s territory. The driver hit an inactive heat supply main, so there is no threat to the utilities that serve the airport and nearby houses.
Earlier we reported that a heavy truck caused a fatal accident on the M-7 highway in the Nizhny Novgorod region. Near the village of Smolino, a truck collided with an Opel and a Lada. Three people died at the scene, and another was hospitalized in serious condition. Later, the injured person died.
And before that on the M-7 three heavy trucks collided. There were no casualties, but one of the multi-ton vehicles blocked the road and completely halted traffic on a section of the highway.
