Drunk man punches, bites police officer in Kandalaksha
A drunk 42-year-old man in Kandalaksha, Murmansk Oblast, faces up to five years in prison for assaulting a police officer by punching and biting him on 15 December.

In Kandalaksha, a 42-year-old local resident is charged under Part 1 of Article 318 of the Russian Criminal Code («Use of violence not dangerous to life or health against a representative of authority in connection with the performance of his official duties»).
On 15 December, the drunk man entered the police station and began rioting: banging his hands on the duty station glass and kicking the entrance turnstile. A police officer tried to stop him, but he grabbed the officer«s wrist, slapped him in the face, and bit his left thumb.
For his actions, the man risks up to five years in a penal colony.
Recall that in Apatity, three young men were detained for attacking a police officer. The conflict arose from a noise complaint.
