Drug Lab Busted in Ryazan Region — What Was Found

Police have eliminated a laboratory for the production of synthetic drugs located in the Klepikovsky District. At the moment, suspects have been detained — a foreign national, who may have been the organizer, and a resident of the Chelyabinsk region, who is believed to have been an interregional courier.

According to preliminary information, a 24-year-old native of a Central Asian country previously worked there as a drug stash planter, and later, having gained the trust of his supervisors, he was sent to Russia in 2025. In our country, he allegedly had to find a suitable premises and set up the operation of an underground drug laboratory. According to investigators, the suspect chose a house on the outskirts of the village of Ozerie in the Klepikovsky District.

The regional police department reported that the foreigner was detained during the production of narcotic substances. From the house and outbuildings, they seized more than 1.6 kg of finished mephedrone, 24 canisters of liquids, laboratory glassware, electronic scales, magnetic stirrers, a vacuum sealer, and a gas mask. Also, four kilograms of drugs were found in a stash near the village of Pavlov in the same district.

Police found that part of the substances had allegedly been handed over to a courier. According to preliminary data, the courier was a 33-year-old resident of the Chelyabinsk region. He was detained and about 490 grams of «synthetic drugs» were found in his apartment in the town of Korkino.

In total, the police found about 7.5 kilograms of banned substances. The suspects were remanded in custody. The investigation is establishing all the circumstances of the incident.
