On the night of July 21, a drone threat was declared in the Moscow Region. The RSChS (Russian Emergency Situations Commission) announced this at 01:17.
Residents were advised to be especially cautious. That night, operations at two airports — Domodedovo and Zhukovsky — were briefly restricted. The restrictions were lifted by 01:35.
«Stay home and do not approach windows, or go to a shelter. If you are outside or in a vehicle, take cover in a building, an underpass, or a parking garage. Mobile internet outages are possible,» the RSChS warned residents.
The agency also reminded that filming of UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles) and air defense operations is strictly prohibited.
«If you find a UAV or its parts, report it by calling «112»,» the RSChS added.
Earlier that night, Moscow and the region were subjected to a massive drone attack. We published details in our online report.
Governor of the Moscow Region Andrei Vorobyov reported that one person was injured in Domodedovo when a private house caught fire. Another was injured on the M-4 highway when a drone fell near a car.
In Odintsovo, a car and a private house were damaged. In Podolsk, fires occurred, and civilian infrastructure and a house in the village of Maloye Tolbino were damaged.
Recall that in the town of Chekhov, the authorities cancelled the Molodi Battle military history festival due to the threat of a drone attack. According to district head Mikhail Sobakin, the AFU (Armed Forces of Ukraine) has intensified attacks on the Moscow Region several times over, and an «unprecedented activity of strike UAVs» is recorded in the southern direction.
