Another severe traffic accident has occurred in the Orenburg region. According to the press service of the regional UMVD (Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs), it happened two kilometers from the village of Pokrovka in the Sorochinsk municipal district on the highway Ivanovka–Sorochinsk–Tashla (kilometer 111).

According to preliminary information, the 59-year-old driver of a VAZ-2107, traveling from Sorochinsk towards Tashla, for some reason did not notice a DAF truck with a semi-trailer parked on the roadside. After the collision, the VAZ-2107 was thrown into another truck — a MAN with a semi-trailer that was coming straight towards it.
The driver of the car was hospitalized with various injuries. Police are conducting an investigation to determine if the truck was parked legally on the roadside.
