In Udmurtia, a driver for a pharmaceutical company died during a work trip. This was reported by the press service of the State Labor Inspectorate in the Udmurt Republic.
According to the agency, the tragedy occurred on January 20. The 51-year-old driver was traveling from Glazov to Izhevsk when he suddenly felt severe chest pain and had trouble breathing. The man sought medical help at the Yakshur-Bodyinsky District Hospital. However, it was not possible to save the patient. The driver died in the emergency room of the medical institution. A doctor informed his relatives of his death.
Since the man died during a work trip, the State Labor Inspectorate in the Udmurt Republic has taken up the investigation of the accident.
As noted by the agency, this is already the fourth case of an employee dying while performing work tasks in 2026. Recall that earlier the State Labor Inspectorate reported the death of an ambulance driver, an employee of Izhvodokanal (Izhevsk Water Utility), and a repairman from the company Sirius LLC.
