Driver dies at wheel in Volgograd, body extraction shown
Emergency services converged on the Coliseum residential complex in the Kirovsky district of Volgograd this evening. According to local residents, a man became ill while driving his car, but by the time the ambulance arrived, he was already dead. The aftermath of the incident was captured on video.
Information about the tragedy appeared in the residential complex«s local chats. Residents shared footage from the scene, showing a crowd of people as well as vehicles from the Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM), police, and ambulance services.
«Does anyone know what happened?»

«The person at the wheel became ill.»
«We were driving by. The car swerved onto the curb, the doors got jammed.»
As a resident who watched the events from his window told V1.RU, after the emergency services arrived, employees of a funeral company also came.
«The man became ill at the wheel, there was no accident, he just pulled over to the side of the road. The emergency services broke into the car. For some reason, the ambulance didn«t take the man away but stood by. They kept walking back and forth. In the end, a morgue vehicle arrived. They dropped the stretcher on the ground along with the person in the middle of the street. They fussed for a long time, trying to get the stretcher out from under him. Then they took a photo of the corpse on the ground. And only then did they slowly start loading him into the morgue vehicle. The ambulance and the morgue vehicle left around 5:30 p.m.,» the eyewitness reported.
The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM) for the Volgograd Region clarified that the question should be addressed to the police. The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MVD) for the Volgograd Region reported that the man became ill while driving, stopped, and died in the car.
