A white Toyota Land Cruiser with Moscow license plates has been parked on a traffic island near the central stadium in Yekaterinburg for a week. It was first spotted on 27 January.
A cleared patch of snow on the driver«s door handle indicates passersby checked the vehicle.

The SUV shows no visible damage. During its stay, it has been dusted with snow, but the side window was cleared — possibly by passersby checking to see if the driver was inside. The cabin is filled with boxes and bags.
Snow has accumulated on the SUV«s body during the week it has been left parked.

It turned out that the owner is a pensioner from Yekaterinburg, even though the car has Moscow plates. Reporters were unable to contact the owner directly but spoke to his wife. «The battery died, he left it there. He«ll pick it up today. Thanks for your concern,» the driver»s wife said.
Numerous boxes and plastic bags are visible inside the cabin of the abandoned SUV.

Earlier, the city noted a problem of abandoned cars left under snowdrifts. City authorities are considering an initiative to send abandoned cars in good condition to the zone of the special military operation. The proposal was made by Yulia Rusaleva, deputy director of the Department of Improvement.
