Dog-Bitten Yakutian Man Rescued After 12-Hour Search

The Neryungri District in Yakutia has seen previous dog attacks, including a fatal incident in 2024.
On the night of February 1, a call was made to the emergency services number in Yakutia, reporting that a worker at one of the checkpoints had been bitten by a dog. The ambulance could not find the victim, so rescuers had to be called. This was reported on February 1 in the Telegram channel of the Rescue Service.
The man was bitten on a site 60 kilometers from the settlement of Nagorny in the Neryungri District, towards the Beryozovy Stream. He was searched for almost 12 hours: the call came in at 00:52, the ambulance departed at 02:46, at 07:40 rescuers set out to search and found him at 10:35. The victim was taken to the Central District Hospital.
This is not the first dog attack on a person in the Neryungri District: in 2024, a pack of stray dogs fatally mauled 12-year-old Vika Kashuba. Details were published here.
