Doctors battle for mother's life after fatal crash in Primorye

Doctors at Artyomovskaya City Hospital No. 1 are battling fiercely for the life of a 44-year-old woman injured in a fatal accident in the Shkotovsky district. According to the regional Ministry of Health, the patient is in serious condition after emergency surgery and is connected to a ventilator.

Medics noted that the woman is conscious, but the situation remains extremely critical. The victim is receiving all necessary medical care, including telemedicine consultations with regional specialists.

Her minor daughter, who also sustained injuries, is by her side. The girl was operated on by the hospital«s traumatologists. Despite the stabilization of her condition, doctors are monitoring the child around the clock.

The medical institution emphasized that the entire team of doctors is doing everything possible to save the woman«s life and ensure the child»s recovery.

The tragedy occurred on the evening of January 23 in the Shkotovsky district on the Nakhodka – Uglovoye highway. Under circumstances yet to be determined, a Mazda Demio and a Toyota Yaris collided head-on. As a result of the accident, three people died, and two others, a mother and daughter, were hospitalized at Artyomovskaya City Hospital No. 1. The Primorye Territory Prosecutor«s Office has organized an investigation into the traffic accident.

A day earlier, a mass fatal traffic accident occurred in the area of the village of Barabash. An empty car carrier truck, a FAW Jiefang, crashed into a King Lion bus with tourists on board, leading to a collision with four other vehicles. Three people died, and five were injured.
