In an apartment in Krasny Sulin, the bodies of a 56-year-old couple were found with signs of carbon monoxide poisoning, according to the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Rostov Region. As previously reported by the media, the man was a doctor at the Central District Hospital in Krasny Sulin.
Investigators have opened a criminal case under the article «Causing death by negligence.» The apartment is equipped with a gas water heater. The circumstances of the couple«s death are still being investigated.
The investigator has ordered forensic examinations, including to determine the exact cause of death and check the technical condition of the gas equipment,the department«s press service reported.
The Prosecutor«s Office of the Rostov Region has also organized an inspection in connection with the death of the residents. It will supervise the investigation of the criminal case.
