Deputy minister avoids head-on collision, car crashes into snowdrift

Details have emerged of the accident involving the deputy head of the Nizhny Novgorod region«s Ministry of Forestry, which occurred in late January. As NN.RU found out, Andrei Khrulev was injured in the crash.

The accident occurred on January 28 at the 101st kilometer of the road between Yoshkar-Ola and Nizhny Novgorod in difficult weather conditions. The deputy minister was in the passenger seat, and an employee of the Vyksa forestry department was driving, the regional Ministry of Forestry said.

According to the ministry, the driver reacted to an emergency situation and took measures to avoid a collision with oncoming traffic. As a result, the car skidded onto the shoulder on its side of the road and was thrown into a snowdrift.

As a result of the accident, the official and the driver received minor injuries and did not even require hospital treatment. Deputy Minister Andrei Khrulev is now back at work.

The Ministry of Forestry clarified that the police did not draw up an administrative offense report because no one violated any rules. The incident also allegedly does not fall under the article of the Labor Code on the procedure for reporting an accident.

“To establish all the circumstances of the incident, relevant commissions have been set up in the Ministry of Forestry and the Vyksa forestry department,” the authorities added.

Earlier, three employees of the Corporation for the Development of Industry and Entrepreneurship of the Nizhny Novgorod Region were involved in a terrible accident. On January 20, the employees« official car collided with a foreign-made car. Two people died immediately, the third died in hospital.
