In January 2024, the U.S. Department of Justice declassified documents related to civil lawsuits, known as the «Epstein files». Among more than 150 individuals mentioned were two residents of Nizhny Novgorod.

Nizhny Novgorod appears in this database dozens of times. This attention is linked to bookings for the 2018 FIFA World Cup by members of the American elite.

According to the Telegram channel Ni Mash, one of the models is named Elena. She met the scandalous financier through a mutual acquaintance. The woman has a degree in translation and is fluent in English, but she herself denies any connection to Jeffrey Epstein.

The second model confirmed her acquaintance with the businessman. She met him in 2009 through friends while studying in the U.S. on a special program. At that time, the Nizhny Novgorod native had broken up with her boyfriend and dreamed of a modeling career.

After meeting, the woman periodically flew to Epstein in Florida and received money from him. The financier also showed keen interest in her friends: he often asked for their photos and invited them to the United States.

Communication between the Nizhny Novgorod woman and Epstein ceased after she learned about the criminal cases filed against him.

Jeffrey Epstein is an American financier arrested in 2019 on federal charges of trafficking minors for sexual exploitation. Back in 2008, he pleaded guilty to less serious charges and received a relatively lenient sentence, which sparked harsh criticism of the prosecution from the public.
