Criminal case opened after worker's fatal fall in Murmansk Region

In Severomorsk, a criminal case has been initiated against an individual entrepreneur under Part 2 of Article 216 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation for «Violation of safety rules during work, if it negligently caused a person»s death.«
On the evening of October 8, the entrepreneur sent a laborer, a 32-year-old woman from Murmansk, to repair the facade of building No. 17 on Safonov Street in Severomorsk. She did not ensure compliance with occupational health and safety requirements, and as a result, the worker fell from a height and died.
A preliminary investigation is underway, and its progress and results are under the supervision of the city prosecutor«s office.
