Criminal case initiated over schoolgirl beating near Rostov

A criminal case has been initiated by investigative authorities after widespread public outcry caused by an incident at School No. 1 in the village of Olginskaya, Aksaysky District.
According to the investigation, one of the classmates hit the girl against a door jamb, causing her to faint.
«In order to establish all the circumstances of the incident, the investigative department for Aksaysky District of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for Rostov Region has initiated a criminal case on the grounds of a crime provided for by Article 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation »Hooliganism«,»— the official statement from the department«s press service reads.
Currently, investigators are establishing the full picture of what happened.
As part of the investigation, an assessment will be made of both the actions of the conflict participants and the work of the prevention system bodies that should have responded to such situations.
The mother of the affected student explained that the root of the conflict lay in bullying started by classmates, touching on the theme of the girl«s father»s death during the special military operation.
According to her, the offenders themselves posted a video of the beating online.
A check is also being conducted by law enforcement agencies on this fact.
