A fire in a private house in the village of Loginovo, Sverdlovsk Region, killed three children on September 5. The parents managed to save four from the flames, but three could not escape.
A fire in September ravaged the home of a large family in Loginovo.
The Beloyarsky District Court sentenced the father, Anatoly Maximov. The regional court explained: «The court established that the defendant built the residential house on a plot in the DNT »Zlatobor« and, lacking specialized education, installed the electrical network himself. In the bathroom, the wiring operated in emergency mode, but the defendant did not take measures to fix the fault and continued to use it, violating fire safety rules.»
The father of many children fully admitted his guilt. The court sentenced him to two years of restricted freedom.
The court also issued a ruling to the administration of the Beloyarsky District. «The house of the large family where the fire occurred did not have an autonomous fire detector. Local authorities must provide a response on the measures taken within one month,» the court noted.
