«Coke gas has been burning at Mechel since 12 o»clock yesterday. They are still putting it out. Even a fire train arrived today,« one eyewitness said.

The press service of PJSC ChMK (Chelyabinsk Metallurgical Plant) reported that on January 29, «a technological gas flash occurred in one of the shops.»

«Fire crews are involved in the elimination. There are no casualties, the shop equipment was not damaged,» the plant assured.
