Cockroaches in All Rooms: Restaurant Closed After Schoolchildren Poisoned

The Arkhangelsk restaurant «Olivye» has been suspended for 90 days after an inspection by Rospotrebnadzor. This decision was made by the Lomonosov District Court. It was in this establishment that schoolchildren, who fell ill with an intestinal infection, ate.
According to the court, the restaurant of individual entrepreneur Solovyov V.A. violated sanitary and epidemiological legislation requirements: from insufficient cleaning to cockroaches in refrigerators.
«The sequence of technological processes is not ensured; in particular, salads are being prepared simultaneously with washing and cleaning vegetables, daily wet cleaning of all premises is not conducted, cracks and chips in floor coverings are found, cockroaches are discovered in all workshops, rooms, and refrigerators, bactericidal equipment in the cold workshop is not functioning, refrigeration equipment is not equipped with control thermometers, rust is found in it, and products in the freezer are not labeled,» the court lists.
Recall that eight young hockey players from the Mayak club in Sverdlovsk Oblast were hospitalized in Arkhangelsk with an intestinal infection on January 23. They have been discharged. The situation was reported to the state sanitary and epidemiological service of Russia, and the Investigative Committee initiated a criminal case on the poisoning.
The work of the restaurant «Olivye», where the young hockey players ate, was suspended after an inspection by Rospotrebnadzor. On January 27, it became known that the schoolchildren were discharged from the hospital.
