Classmates Recall Schoolgirl Mentioning Cadavers in Lessons

On the morning of January 27, an 11-year-old schoolgirl fell from a communal balcony of a multi-story building on Semikhatov Street in the Akademichesky district of Yekaterinburg and died on the spot.

The girl«s classmates were shocked to learn of the tragedy. On the day of the incident, she did not come to classes, and at first, students assumed she was ill.

“She often mentioned cadavers in lessons, but didn«t hint at anything. Ksenia was good, didn»t insult anyone, seemed to be friends with everyone. Today, Ksyusha didn«t come to lessons, we thought she was sick. After English, we went to the vice-principal»s office, and the principal told us this heavy news. All the girls immediately started crying, the boys were also in shock. Our homeroom teacher cried, was upset. I«m still shaking from this news,” shared one of the students.

According to him, several days earlier in a Russian language lesson, Ksenia gave an example of a sentence with the word «cadaver.» The classmate also noted that the girl didn«t study very well and no school psychologist worked with her.

Other students said that the schoolgirl communicated with few people and often complained about life.

According to preliminary information, law enforcement is considering the version of suicide. After what happened, a note and a phone were found on the communal loggia of the house, which the girl left.
