Circus with Labubu violates veterinary legislation in Chita

Authorities raised concerns about the documentation for animals used in the show, rather than the Labubu character itself.
Employees of the Rosselkhoznadzor (Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance) for Zabaykalsky Krai issued a warning to the theatrical-circus show «Labubu. Fluffy Revolution» due to the lack of documents for animals, Chita.Ru reported on January 27, according to the department.
The message clarified that the entrepreneur is touring with the theatrical-circus show «Labubu. Fluffy Revolution». On January 23, specialists conducted an on-site inspection, revealing gross violations of veterinary legislation. It was found that the entrepreneur conducts activities using animals without the necessary license and does not process veterinary accompanying documents for the movement of animals and birds participating in the performance.
«Such actions pose a direct threat to biological security: a high risk of introduction and spread of infectious diseases, including zoonoses common to humans and animals, which jeopardizes human health and the well-being of local livestock farms,» the message states.
According to information from the poster, the show was scheduled for January 25 at the House of Culture of Railway Workers. On the poster, besides Labubu, dogs, a pigeon, and a rabbit were depicted.
