Children Suffer Burns in Fire in Chita
On the evening of January 24, a fire broke out in a residential single-family home in Chita. Children aged 15 and 7 suffered burns in the fire, according to the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM) for Zabaikalsky Krai in the messenger MAX.
«The report of a house fire on Karpatskaya Street was received by the fire department at 18:30. The injured children and their mother had already left the premises and were outside by the time firefighters arrived. A boy born in 2010 and a girl born in 2018 suffered burns and were hospitalized at the Regional Children»s Clinical Hospital,« the message states.
Fire and rescue units and a militarized fire brigade were dispatched to the scene. At 19:25, the fire was localized, and at 02:49, it was completely extinguished. As a result, the residential house was damaged over an area of 60 square meters. The exact cause of the fire is being determined.
