Child in Orenburg suffers multiple spinal fractures in inflatable sled fall

In Orenburg, a child suffered severe spinal injuries after falling from an inflatable sled.
Doctors from one of the city hospitals contacted the Orenburg police. They reported that a 13-year-old teenager had been hospitalized with severe injuries — multiple fractures of the thoracic spine. As it turned out, the seventh-grader had an unfortunate ride on an inflatable sled — he simply fell off it.
This is already at least the fourth similar case in 2026 occurring in the Orenburg region. As reported by 56.RU, a driver from Buguruslan was fined for «joyrides» with an inflatable sled tied to a car (fortunately, no one was «wiped out»), in the Dombarovsky district, a similar sled attached to a car hit a pensioner, in Novotroitsk two children collided while riding on an inflatable sled, and in the Saraktashsky district under the same circumstances a 17-year-old girl was injured.
Here are reminders on how to sled safely on an inflatable sled:
choose only specially equipped slopes for sledding;
check the sled«s condition and assess the slope»s steepness and the presence of hazardous areas;
avoid collisions;
follow the order of descent;
do not sled in a «train» formation;
control your speed.
