An individual entrepreneur from Chelyabinsk will pay 450,000 rubles (about $5,000 at current rates) to the family of a girl who broke her leg on a trampoline in the city«s Pushkin Park. This was reported on Tuesday, 3 February by the regional prosecutor»s office.
The incident occurred in June 2025 on a trampoline called «Ptichki MZ», which was legally operating in Pushkin Park, and tickets were sold for the attraction.
«The girl suffered a closed fracture of the femur, was hospitalized and underwent leg surgery,» the supervisory authority reported.
The prosecutor filed a lawsuit against the trampoline owner for compensation for non-pecuniary damage. The parties reached a settlement.
Incidents involving outdoor trampolines in Chelyabinsk and the region occur regularly. For example, in 2024 a girl fell from an unsecured trampoline near the Traktor arena and suffered a bruise. And in Katav-Ivanovsk (Chelyabinsk Region) in 2018, a trampoline was blown away by a strong gust of wind, injuring four children, with a three-year-old girl breaking her hip and being taken to intensive care.
