Carrier of Crashed Ryazan Bus Had Past Incidents
On the morning of January 31, a fatal accident occurred involving a Volvo car and a bus on route No. 123 «Ryazan – Koralino». The carrier is PAZ LLC – OOO «Mezhdugorodniye Passazhirskiye Perevozki» (MPP), which also transports people to other regions such as Vladimir and Tula.
According to YA62.RU, this is not the first accident involving vehicles of OOO «MPP». One of the latest went to court in 2023: a bus driver changing lanes did not yield to a car, and they collided. No one was injured, but the motorist demanded compensation for material damage, as his car«s bumper and left wing were damaged. The company was ordered to pay slightly over 27,000 rubles (about $270 at current rates).
OOO «MPP» is the abbreviated name of the carrier company.
A lawsuit for damages, where OOO «MPP» was the defendant, was also filed in 2012. However, the circumstances are no longer disclosed.
In addition to court cases, the carrier has been found to have other violations. Here are the latest ones:
November 13, 2025 – the driver of bus No. 530 «Ryazan – Novomichurinsk» [belongs to OOO «MPP»] picked up passengers off-route. A warning was issued.
October 27, 2025 – the driver of bus No. 133 «Ryazan – Nasurovo» [belongs to OOO «MPP»] drove off-route, picking up and dropping off passengers in unauthorized places. A warning was issued.
April 18, 2025 – in bus No. 114 «Ryazan – Novoselki» [belongs to OOO «MPP»] water was leaking from a roof hatch, and the carrier did not ensure safety. A warning was issued.
April 8, 2025 – bus No. 121 «Ryazan – Gryatskoye» [belongs to OOO «MPP»] was operating under a different number. A warning was issued.
The majority of warnings are related to dropping off or picking up passengers in unauthorized places. But in 2024, during an unscheduled inspection, it was found that drivers were not given pre-trip briefings to avoid accidents – then another warning was issued.
Moreover, in August 2024, it turned out that the driver of the «Ryazan – Vladimir» bus was selling tickets independently and receiving money into his own account. Several other warnings concerned tickets not being issued to passengers at all.
From older warnings: information about passengers was not transmitted, waybills were filled out incorrectly, and in 2015 there was no plan of measures to prepare drivers and vehicles for safe operation.
All warnings are listed as fulfilled.
YA62.RU journalists also found out that the damaged Volvo car involved in the accident was purchased by a resident of Ryazan Oblast from Muscovites in 2014. Previously, the car had not been in accidents, and in general, no current fines were found by its license plate.
The driver and passenger of the Volvo died at the scene of the accident, and a child from their car was hospitalized.
