On January 25, around 9 p.m., a fatal road accident occurred in the Tsilninsky District of the Ulyanovsk region, according to the regional State Traffic Safety Inspectorate. Preliminary reports suggest a 28-year-old driver of a Lada Granta lost control on the slippery road and veered into a ditch. The car then overturned. As a result, a 35-year-old female passenger died at the scene from her injuries. The driver himself required hospitalization.
Separately, in the Leninsky District of Ulyanovsk, a 30-year-old driver of a Lada Granta hit a 45-year-old man who was crossing the road in an undesignated area. The pedestrian was taken to a medical facility and prescribed treatment.
