Car crashes into bus in Rybinsk, people injured

Serious traffic accident occurred in Rybinsk, Yaroslavl Oblast, on January 21 at around eight in the evening at Derunov Square (Krestovaya Street, 128).
A video of the incident has appeared on social media. The footage shows a bus approaching a stop when a white Land Rover collided with it almost head-on, simultaneously hitting a Lifan car that was moving alongside.
The Russian Interior Ministry’s regional office for Yaroslavl Oblast commented: “According to preliminary information, the 21-year-old driver of the Land Rover lost control, veered into oncoming traffic, and collided with a Lifan car driven by a 41-year-old and a LIAZ bus moving in the opposite direction.”
According to law enforcement, four people were injured in the crash. The driver and a 22-year-old passenger of the Land Rover were hospitalized. The driver of the Lifan and a 55-year-old female bus passenger sustained injuries requiring outpatient treatment.
Another published video shows that just before the collision, the Land Rover was moving erratically, swerving on the road.
Currently, the State Traffic Inspectorate is conducting an investigation to determine all the circumstances of the incident.
