Car Collides with Bus on Highway Near Tyumen

The accident occurred on January 22 at the 131st kilometer of the Shadrinsk–Yalutorovsk highway, where a passenger car collided with a bus.

As reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM) of the Tyumen Region, rescuers who arrived at the scene extracted the body of the deceased driver from the car.
The passenger on the bus was not injured. Information about the bus driver«s condition has not been specified.
Six employees and one piece of equipment from the regional EMERCOM department were involved in clearing the aftermath of the accident.
Two days earlier, on January 20, another serious road incident occurred on the Tyumen–Yekaterinburg highway in the Sverdlovsk Region, in which a 36-year-old driver of a VAZ-2110 car died.
Among the most common causes of road accidents, experts cite:
- violation of intersection passing rules and right-of-way
- failure to maintain a safe distance
- speeding
- violation of rules at pedestrian crossings
- driving under the influence of alcohol
