Yekaterinburg resident Timofey Kurdupov died in a plane crash in Orsk. He was five days short of his 21st birthday. This information was confirmed to E1.RU by Timofey«s father, who said his son was a second-year student at the St. Petersburg State University of Civil Aviation.

Emergency and investigative teams are present at the crash site near Orsk.

«I spoke with him four days ago, he didn»t say anything about going to Orsk,« the cadet»s father said. «I»m a wreck right now, I can«t talk.»

Timofey was a graduate of Lyceum No. 159 in Yekaterinburg. During his studies, he participated and won in military-sports competitions. After receiving his diploma, he worked part-time as a tutor in physics and mathematics.

«I teach physics and mathematics from the very »basics« using my own program, with which I prepared for exams and achieved high scores to enroll in the civil aviation pilot program at the St. Petersburg Institute of Civil Aviation,» he wrote in his resume.

The light aircraft carrying Timofey crashed in the vicinity of Orsk in the Orenburg region. There were three people on board (two cadets and an instructor), all of whom died.

«The report of the crash came from the address: Orsk, Djanatalap village. The plane was on a training flight. Unfortunately, three people died,» the Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM) reported.

The cause of the crash is currently unknown. Work is underway to identify the victims.

The plane crash was commented on by Rosaviatsia (the Federal Air Transport Agency). A pre-investigation check is being conducted following the emergency in Orsk.
