One of the victims of the training plane crash near Orsk was a 21-year-old cadet from the Moscow region. His name appeared on the lists of those killed during the training flight, which are being circulated by the media. According to our colleagues at Fontanka.ru, a native of Voskresensk was listed among the crew members.

Three people died on February 2 when a DA-40 training plane crashed near Orsk. City Head Artem Vorobiev reported that an instructor and two cadets from the Saint Petersburg State University of Civil Aviation (SPbGUGA) were on board.

The Federal Air Transport Agency confirmed that the four-seat DA-40 aircraft belongs to the university. Law enforcement officials have traveled to the site—they have begun a pre-investigation check under the article on violation of traffic safety rules and operation of air transport (Article 263 of the Criminal Code).

The mother of the cadet, whose name was on the crew list, confirmed to MSK1.RU that her son had gone to the Orenburg region for practical training. However, neither he nor the university administration had yet contacted her.

«He hasn»t written yet, there«s still no information from him at all,» the cadet«s mother told MSK1.RU. »He said: «Mom, I»ll have a flight sometime around ten or eleven o«clock.» I just logged in, looked, it was at 10:10, I think.«

According to Fontanka, the deceased may have been fourth-year students of the Faculty of Flight Operations, majoring in «Organization of Flight Work» (OLR). They were undergoing flight practice in Orsk. The second student was from Yekaterinburg, where he graduated from a governor«s boarding lyceum for gifted children.
