Cadet dies in Orsk crash before 21st birthday
Yekaterinburg resident Timofey Kurdupo died in a plane crash in Orsk. He was five days short of his 21st birthday. This information was confirmed to colleagues from E1.RU by Timofey«s father. He said that his son studied at the St. Petersburg University of Civil Aviation.
«I spoke with him four days ago, he didn»t say anything about going to Orsk,« the cadet»s father said. «I»m all nerves right now, I can«t talk.»
As reported by colleagues from Fontanka, Timofey graduated from the governor«s boarding lyceum for gifted children. According to open source information, the young man graduated from school with honors, and already in his first year he co-authored a paper on the development of onboard electrical systems in modern aviation, which was included in a collection of materials from a youth scientific and practical conference. He is also a prize-winner of an engineering olympiad for schoolchildren.
Moreover, Kurdupo worked as a tutor. «A student of the St. Petersburg Institute of Civil Aviation, I am studying to be a pilot. I have excellent knowledge of the school curriculum, I passed the Unified State Exam in physics with 95 points, in mathematics with 90, I will be happy to study with you!» is stated in the resume with exclusively positive reviews from parents.
On another site, the young man wrote that last year he helped two dozen students pass the Basic State Exam in physics and mathematics — twice as many as in 2024. He is also a prize-winner of the engineering olympiad for schoolchildren and the interregional olympiad of Kazan Federal University.
In their social media, the cadets (according to preliminary data, the second young man is from Voskresensk) posted photos with airplanes and indicated SPbGUGA in the education field.
Recall that, as reported by 56.RU, a light aircraft crashed today in the vicinity of Orsk. There were three people on board (two cadets and an instructor), all of them died: the administration of Orsk and the government of Orenburg Region promise to provide any assistance to their relatives.
