In Saratov, a bus stop collapsed on an elderly woman. The incident occurred on the afternoon of February 3 on Prudnaya Street. The Investigative Committee for the Zavodskoy District has opened a criminal case for negligence (Part 1, Article 293 of the Russian Criminal Code).
According to the committee, a bus stop collapsed on a 63-year-old local resident, after which she was hospitalized. The regional Ministry of Health told 164.RU that the victim was taken to a local medical facility «in a condition of moderate severity.»
The regional prosecutor«s office is conducting its own investigation into this incident. Earlier in 2025, the office in the Zavodskoy District had already pointed out to local self-government bodies the deficiencies in maintaining the street-road network and improper care of bus stops, including the one that collapsed. The prosecutor»s office wants to hold accountable the authorized officials who did not take necessary measures after the presentation to the office.
