A passenger bus hit a woman on a pedestrian crossing in Irkutsk. The accident occurred on Timiryazeva Street in the afternoon of February 4. Officers from the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate (GIBDD) are still working at the scene, the agency reported on its official Telegram channel.
According to preliminary information, the 59-year-old driver of Bus No. 22 was traveling from Gryaznova Street toward Lenina Street and near building No. 9 failed to yield to a pedestrian on a crosswalk. The woman sustained injuries and was taken to the hospital by ambulance.
Police are investigating the circumstances of the accident and reviewing the driver«s actions.
