On the afternoon of January 24, in central Yaroslavl, a bus hit a 10-year-old boy. The accident occurred at 15:50 MSK on Sovetskaya Street near building number 14.

According to preliminary data from the Yaroslavl Region State Traffic Inspectorate, the child was crossing the road at a regulated pedestrian crossing on a red traffic light. At that moment, he was hit by a PAZ bus.

The boy required medical assistance. An ambulance team was called to the scene.

«As a result of the accident, the pedestrian with injuries was taken to the hospital,» the State Traffic Inspectorate specified.

Currently, law enforcement officers are establishing all the circumstances of the incident. Parents are urged to explain to children how to behave properly on the roads.

«Teach young pedestrians to assess their surroundings, develop their observation skills on the road, and pay attention to situations that create danger,» states the message from the State Traffic Inspectorate.

Recall that on the morning of January 24, on Oktyabrya Avenue in Yaroslavl, a 78-year-old pensioner was killed in a hit-and-run. The driver fled the scene of the accident, but later turned himself in at the police station. He was an 18-year-old young man.
