Bus Hits 10-Year-Old Boy in Central Yaroslavl

In the center of Yaroslavl, a bus hit a 10-year-old boy. The child with injuries was taken to a medical facility.

A road traffic accident involving a minor occurred in Yaroslavl on January 24. At 15:50 on Sovetskaya Street near house No. 14, a PAZ brand bus hit a 10-year-old boy.
According to preliminary data from the Yaroslavl Region State Traffic Inspectorate, the child was crossing the road at a regulated pedestrian crossing on a red traffic light signal.
As a result of the hit, the boy sustained injuries. An ambulance was called to the scene, which took the victim to the hospital.
«As a result of the accident, the pedestrian with injuries was taken to the hospital,» clarified the State Traffic Inspectorate. The department also called on parents to teach children road safety: «Teach the young pedestrian to assess the surrounding situation, develop his observation on the road and pay attention to situations that create danger.»
On the same day in the morning on Oktyabrya Avenue in Yaroslavl, another serious accident occurred. A 78-year-old pensioner was hit and killed, and the driver fled the scene. Later, he voluntarily came to the police; he turned out to be an 18-year-old young man.
