Bus Driver's Careless U-Turn Causes Traffic Chaos on Yegorshinsky Approach
Auto expert Dmitry Larionov proposed a likely sequence of events for the bus and garbage truck collision.
On the morning of January 28, traffic was paralyzed on the Yegorshinsky approach in Yekaterinburg. The cause was an accident in which a garbage truck and a bus collided. According to the State Traffic Inspectorate (GAI), there were no injuries.

«The location and nature of the marks suggest that, most likely, the scenario was as follows: the bus driver carelessly made a U-turn, failed to clear the lane in which the garbage truck was traveling, and the garbage truck hit him in the rear door. The bus was spun around and drove into the snow. That is, initially the angle of collision was quite sharp, and not perpendicular at all. They ended up perpendicular later,» suggested Dmitry Larionov.
