The driver of a bus that overturned into a ditch near Khanty-Mansiysk will face trial. Two passengers died in the accident. This was reported by the prosecutor«s office of Yugra.
Recall that the accident involving a passenger bus occurred on 22 October on the Raduzhny–Khanty-Mansiysk route in the Khanty-Mansiysk district. The investigation found that the driver moved into the oncoming lane to overtake. However, he lost control, causing the Yutong bus to veer off the road on a turn and overturn into a ditch. The vehicle tipped onto its side. There were 16 people on board. Two passengers died at the scene, and nine others were injured. Three of the victims sustained serious injuries.
The prosecutor«s office has issued an indictment against the driver. He is accused of violating traffic rules, which through negligence resulted in the death of two people. The criminal case has been transferred to court.
Earlier we reported that two residents of Yugra died in an accident with a truck on the Tyumen–Khanty-Mansiysk highway. According to footage from the accident scene, the impact literally crushed the right side of the car inward.
