Bus Driver Hits Pedestrian at Crosswalk in Ryazan

The accident occurred yesterday, January 27, at around 16:00 MSK near building No. 5 on Popov Street in Ryazan. According to preliminary information, a 61-year-old local man driving a PAZ bus hit a pedestrian—a 41-year-old local woman. She was crossing the road at an unregulated pedestrian crossing.
As a result of the crash, the woman required medical attention, the regional state traffic inspectorate reported. An investigation into the accident is underway. The circumstances of the incident are being established.
The department reported that a total of 68 traffic accidents causing property damage to drivers occurred in the Ryazan region over the past 24 hours.
