Bus driver felt unwell after driving onto tram tracks

On the morning of January 27, a road accident involving a bus occurred at the intersection of Revolution Highway and Potapov Street. The vehicle drove onto the tram tracks and then, presumably, collided with a passenger car.
According to the carrier, the bus was in technically sound condition and went into service after the driver passed the mandatory pre-trip medical examination at 7:43, which revealed no contraindications to work. «The bus was released into service in technically sound condition, the driver passed the mandatory pre-trip medical examination at 7:43 and had no contraindications to work,» the company stated.
After the accident, the driver reported feeling unwell. His driving experience is 26 years. To clarify the circumstances of the incident, it is planned to involve medical specialists.
The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region confirmed that there were no casualties as a result of the accident. At the time of the incident, the bus was traveling without passengers.
