Bus collides with UAZ Patriot on highway in Samara Region
The UAZ Patriot involved was traveling towards Samara at the time of the collision.
Police are establishing the circumstances of the traffic accident that occurred on Wednesday, January 28, in the Kinel District of Samara Region.
Skid marks on the highway surface show the path of the vehicles after impact.
According to preliminary data from the State Traffic Inspectorate (GAI), at approximately 13:40 on the Samara–Buguruslan highway, a UAZ Patriot and a minibus collided.
The UAZ Patriot vehicle suffered extensive damage in the accident with the bus.
«The 47-year-old driver of an Iveco bus (without passengers, not a route bus), traveling towards Samara, violated the rules for positioning a vehicle on the roadway and caused a collision with a UAZ car driven by a 37-year-old driver, who was moving in the same direction,» reported the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for Samara Region.
Fortunately, there were no deaths, but both drivers sustained injuries. They were taken to the hospital.
«Traffic police officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident, an investigation is underway. We draw your attention to the fact that the provided information is solely for informational purposes and does not determine the degree of guilt of the traffic accident participants,» added the police.
Samara drivers are urged to be careful on the road: choose safe speed and distance, taking into account road and weather conditions.
