Bus catches fire near Berezniki while traveling from Solikamsk to Yekaterinburg

Passengers who ran out of the bus took footage at the scene of the incident.
On Friday, January 23, in the evening, a bus caught fire near Berezniki. The incident was reported by passengers who posted video from the scene on social media.
Passengers filmed video after exiting the burning bus at the emergency site.
«A couple of kilometers from Berezniki, the rear part of the bus caught fire. The driver stopped and quickly disembarked the passengers,» wrote the Telegram channel Perm No. 1.
The press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MChS) for Perm Krai reported that the bus caught fire while in motion, and no one was injured. Rescuers classified the incident as a traffic accident.
The editorial office of 59.RU requested information from the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MVD). At the time of publication, no response had been received from the police.
According to 59.RU, the bus that caught fire was a 2023 Yutong. It was traveling on route No. 5282 from Solikamsk to Yekaterinburg. This route is operated by the Yekaterinburg-based transport company Ural-Avto. 59.RU was unable to reach representatives of the motor transport company.
According to Kontur.Focus, Limited Liability Company Transport Company Ural-Avto was registered in the summer of 2011 in Yekaterinburg. The motor transport company is owned and managed by Vasily Gorbunov. In 2024, the company declared revenues of 99.9 million rubles (about $1.11 million at current rates) with a net profit of 16 million rubles (about $177,800 at current rates). In 2021, according to E1.RU, two buses under Gorbunov«s control burned out in a week.
LLC TC Ural-Avto operates routes No. 5282, 5365, and 5665, which connect Yekaterinburg with Solikamsk and Tyumen. Its affiliated companies, LLC Ural-Avto and Ural-Avto Plus, operate five suburban routes in Yekaterinburg, 16 inter-municipal routes in Sverdlovsk Oblast, and international route No. 1075 «Yekaterinburg — Kostanay».
