Bus and car crash on narrow road causes long traffic jam in Motovilikha

A collision between a bus and a car on a narrow street in Perm's Motovilikha district has led to a two-kilometer traffic backup. Alternative transport routes were temporarily shortened.

A minor accident involving a car and a bus is causing a major traffic jam in Perm«s Motovilikha district. Here is what is happening.

Bus No. 37 collided with a passenger car on Vosstaniya Street. According to Perm«s transport department, bus routes No. 17, 36, and 86 were shortened to 1905 Goda Street. They returned to their regular schedules half an hour later.

However, a traffic jam continues to build up on Yakov Sverdlov Street in front of the accident site — it is currently two kilometers (about 1.2 miles) long. This is where the main congestion has formed. In the area of Vosstaniya Street, judging by photos, people are getting off buses and walking.

Traffic is also building up on 1905 Goda Street, Slavyanov Street, and on Vosstaniya.
