Burst pipe in Vladivostok creates an icy winter scene

A significant water main burst occurred on Chapaev Street near the dormitories of Vladivostok State University of Economics and Service (VSUES), according to eyewitnesses on the Telegram channel vtoryak_vdk.
Due to the accident, a huge jet of water is shooting into the sky, and some trees and sidewalks have already noticeably iced over, turning the area into a winter wonderland.
The frozen trees look mesmerizing, but the scene has primarily frightened Vladivostok residents, including dormitory students who have commented online, speculating they will be left without hot water.
One commenter wrote that they almost froze themselves, having been near the burst during the accident, while others recalled the ice rain that covered Vladivostok in 2020.
A correspondent from VLADIVOSTOK1.RU contacted the city administration to learn the cause of the burst and the repair timeline, but no comment has been provided yet.
On 24 January, we reported that several thousand residents of Partizansk have been living without a cold water supply for almost a week. On some streets, water has been absent for six days, while on others the supply stopped three days ago. According to residents, there is no organized water delivery, forcing people to buy water in stores or melt snow for their needs.
