Boy hit by car while sledding on inflatable tube

A boy was hospitalized after sliding down a hill on an inflatable tube in a village in the Tomsk region. According to the press service of the regional State Traffic Safety Inspectorate (GAI), the child was hit by a car.

The incident occurred on 1 February in the village of Kornilovo, Tomsk region. According to preliminary information, a Lada Largus car struck the 10-year-old child, who had slid onto the roadway on a tube from an impromptu snow hill. The victim was taken to hospital.

It was found that the car was driven by a 41-year-old man.

The prosecutor«s office of the Tomsk district has begun an investigation into the circumstances of the incident, the agency»s press service reported. They will assess the safety of the snow hill and the work of services for the prevention of child neglect and juvenile delinquency. If violations are found, the prosecutor«s office will take measures.
